Tips to reduce stress at work
If you have a stressful profession, it is wise to do something against the stress. Start by making a list, on which you write all stress factors. Make clear for yourself what is making you stressed. Once you know which things make you most stressed, then you can try to think up solutions for these things. Try to solve all problems. It is also wise to write down things that make you calm or happy. Make sure you have plenty of time for these things.
But you can deal with stress outside of work too. In your hours of free time you can also do something against the stress. Try to do sports enough. This gives your body a kick, which makes you feel more energised. Sleeping enough is also important, approximately eight hours a night. There are also special relax trainings, such as yoga or mindfullness, which work against stress very well.
Have you tried all these things and does nothing seem to work? It may also be the case that your job simply doesn't suit you well or that it really costs you way too much energy. In that case, consider working part-time or change jobs. Starting in a new department can also help well.
